Welcome to Florida Mesa Head Start!

We are happy to help you and your child as you begin your preschool journey. Here in our Head Start classroom at 9-R’s Florida Mesa Elementary School, you have the unique benefit of bringing your child to the same school where they may start kindergarten. Your child will feel comfortable and a sense of belonging as they become familiar with the routines, surroundings, and smiling faces at the elementary school. 

We believe every child has the right to a quality education, and we’re here to provide just that! That means your child will have positive experiences in safe, nurturing classrooms. They will build trusting relationships with teachers who are qualified, and most importantly, love their jobs. Our teachers will focus on creating experiences so your child learns to love school and will be ready for kindergarten.

We’re also here to support you—the families! We know you are the most important piece of your child’s education. With open communication, we can connect you to resources and services to help meet your needs. We would also love to see you get involved and volunteer in our classroom. We’re excited to welcome you to 9-R Head Start.
